3 symptoms of anxiety and how to minimize these symptoms:
1) Isolated and temporary appearance of fear or discomfort of an intense nature.
Anxiety is a manifestation of fear. We perceive a threat as real and imminent. Controlling the emotion of fear must be immediate because if we let it invade our being, it will be more difficult to control it. The immediate manifestation of fear is anxiety.
Fundamental: focus, take a deep breath and ask yourself if this threat is real and if it will affect your life in the future. Will that threat be present in 5 years? surely the answer is NO. The exaggerated response such as anguish is not worth it.
2) Physical alterations.
During a state of distress, a series of physical reactions occur such as hyperventilation, sweating, tachycardia, tremor... It is necessary not to be scared by these symptoms because we would add more distress to what we already have. Trying to control breathing is key to minimizing the rest of the symptoms. These symptoms are the same as those of anxiety, although to a greater degree.
3) Feelings of sorrow.
Grief is inherent to anguish. The person is invaded by a deep feeling of sadness that can even lead to suicidal thoughts. Once again, the key is to exercise objective realism. Is it that big of a deal? Don't have a solution? Will this worry me in 10 years? Is it worth making my life miserable for this? The best weapon to combat grief and sadness is optimism.
